Your chicken coop plans will largely depend on the stage at which you start raising your chickens. The stages can be either when it’s an egg, a chick or a fully grown chicken. The plan will also depend on whether you want to keep your chickens in a barn or raise your chickens as free range chickens. Building chicken coops can be quite easy and inexpensive. Simple chicken coops can be constructed using materials from an old building structure; materials got from dump-sites or build it with newly purchased materials. The first step before utilizing your plan should be to confirm if it is legal to build a chicken coop in your backyard. If given a go ahead you can start by choosing a safe leveled location for your coop. A safe chicken coop should be built in such a way that it will protect your chickens from strong wind, rains and other harsh elements.
